Let’s face it: Between a demanding job or academic program, the pressure to shine socially, and seemingly never-ending subway woes, life in New York can be very stressful. However, the newest amenity at City Tower in Downtown Brooklyn offers a reprieve in the form of complimentary, residents-only meditation classes.
City Tower is a large building with 48 floors and 439 apartments in the borough's businesses heart, but the meditation techniques encourage a calmer, more centered feeling amidst it. The monthly classes will be held in partnership with leading meditation studio MNDFL and take place on City Tower’s beautifully landscaped roof deck. An expert will offer tips and insights on deep breathing, stress decompression, and healthy, mindful living in an urban environment.
The meditation classes are the latest in a long list of building amenities and distinctions to set City Tower apart. This COOKFOX-designed building incorporates sustainable elements such as recycled materials and reclaimed wood joists from a Williamsburg warehouse, which make the building both attractive and environmentally friendly.
The rental apartments comprise of studio and one-bedroom layouts priced from $2,770/month. The leasing team, led by the Brodsky Organization, is offfering a month and a half of free rent on 19-month leases. Apartments feature open layouts and condo-quality appliances and fixtures. All this takes place in a building an elevator ride away from the City Point retail complex and a short walk from many subway lines.
