The farther reaches of the East Village have been going from gritty to glamorous in recent years, and the latest proof of that can be found at 433 East 13th Street: Leasing has launched at EVE, a newly-constructed, two-wing rental designed by SLCE Architects. The building pays tribute to the neighborhood's past with original portraits of its most iconic bands, but rock stars like The Ramones and Velvet Underground would hardly recognize the area today.
All 113 studio through two-bedroom apartments feature design by CL-OTH Interiors, oversized windows, and open kitchens with stainless steel appliances. Prices range from $2,999/month for studios to $6,499/month for two-bedrooms.
EVE is topped with a landscaped roof deck furnished with a sprawling lawn, grilling area, and outdoor TV and sound system. Additional amenities include a billiards room, lounge, fitness center with outdoor activity area, bike room, concierge, and pet grooming station. Local favorites like Momofuku Noodle Bar, Superiority Burger, S'MAC East Village, Raclette, Keybar, and Pouring Ribbons, to name but a few, can be found on surrounding blocks.
EVE represents the latest example of the dramatic renaissance this area near Alphabet City is currently experiencing. To the delight of residents and neighbors, Trader Joe’s is the building’s retail tenant. A few doors away, Target just opened in the base of Extell’s EVGB, a rapidly leasing rental that tops CityRealty’s list of top 10 rentals in the East Village. Current availabilities range from a one-bedroom for $4,650/month to a three-bedroom for $13,995/month.
