The six-story building at 124 West Houston Street, erected around 1900, has no shortage of history. The property holds a Landmark Designation from the city and is within the the Greenwich Village Historical District. It was a place where Bob Dylan created some of his most famous songs, according to the New York Post, and was also home to early conceptual artists Arakawa and Madeline Gins.

But now, after a renovation from developers DIB Management, its brand new residential loft spaces have launched as luxury rentals. Inside are three full-floor homes on the second, third, and fourth floors, each with 2,000 square feet of space including two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The building's penthouse, located on the sixth floor, has many of the same features and also comes with a 750-square-foot rooftop garden. The full-floor homes are each $12,500 per month, while the penthouse is $18,000 per month. Leasing is by Rebecca Bruce at Daizy Realty.

Though fully reimagined, each unit has original architectural details, a sought-after highlight in many renovated prewar properties. Large windows offer plenty of natural light, and ceiling heights range from 11 to nearly 14 feet. With no interior columns, any type of layout can be created.

There is a great room, which can accommodate both living and dining areas, and each bedroom offers a custom vanity, soaking tub, separate shower and walk-in closet. Each apartment has a custom kitchen with a 3'x7' center island, a LeadStone countertop, Dowell sink, and a premium appliance package form Thermador including a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and wine cooler.

The lofts are equipped with a Bosch washer/dryer, multi-zone climate control, and even a fireplace.

Conveniences extend beyond the homes, too. Developers equipped the property with a virtual doorman, a package room and a part-time superintendent.

Located on West Houston Street between Thompson and Sullivan Street, the property is at the crossroads of Greenwich Village, SoHo and NoHo. The surrounding area is one of the most charming in Manhattan and is close to destinations like Washington Square Park, New York University and Lower Manhattan. The ground floor of the building will be home to commercial space, but retailers have not been determined.
