Another week, another rental tower launches in Long Island City. This one comes in at the neighborhood’s central Court Square district where a 27-story tower at 27-15 44th Drive has swiftly risen. Knighted Watermark LIC, the building will host 168 rentals with smart layouts, efficient storage, and stunning views of the city through expansive windows. There will be studio, one- and two-bedroom configurations and select units will have a private outdoor space. Now, Watermark’s registration website has debuted in preparation for leasing launched anticipated later this summer.
Developed by Twinning Properties and designed by Handel Architects, the building is said to cater to mobile professionals who when home from the office, have the option to work or play in one of the building’s many WiFi-powered amenity spaces. There will be a roof-top terrace, sky lounge, a work lounge with private meeting space, a garden, café, and fitness center. Other amenities will include 24-hour concierge services, a landscaped garden, bike storage, and individual storage units. The building will also be LEED certified.
The building shares its block with two other newly-constructed buildings: The Harrison, a 120-unit condo where homes start at $855K and The Forge, a 270-unit rental where studios start at $2,485/month, 1-bedrooms at $3,030/month and 2-bedrooms at $4,150/month.
