A newly constructed 30-story mixed-use rental tower in Manhattan has launched a teaser site in advance of its grand opening. The building is located at 515 West 38th Street in the
Hudson Yards area of Midtown West and was previously known as 509 West 38th Street. Its teaser site introduces us to the building's new moniker Henry Hall, while also leaving us wondering, Who is Henry?
The site offers registration for a priority waitlist but reveals little information about the property. Construction began in 2015 and permits indicate Henry Hall will be home to 225 apartments spread throughout residential floors 6 through 30, with lower floors reserved for retail and community space. Located between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, it will be adjacent to the second phase of Hudson Park & Boulevard, which is the green space visible in renderings.

The building topped off last summer when the dapper west side tower was known as Hi-Side, and its residences will come in studio to two-bedroom layouts. Most floors hold between 9 to 12 units but there are only 4 units each on floors 28 to 30. Ken Fulk is handling interior design, and the building will have a several amenities including a 24-hour attended lobby, a fitness center, bike storage, a lounge & roof deck, and a music jam room. The building is 80/20 and an affordable lottery under the address of 509-515 West 38th Street was held last year for 46 units priced between $913 to $1,183 per month for New Yorkers earning up to 60% of the area median income.
The 345-foot building was developed by Imperial Companies and designed by BKSK Architects with Ismael Leyva listed as the architect of record. The tower has more than 243,000 square feet of space (158,000 is reserved for the residences) and boasts an exterior clad in a welcoming mix of textured brick, steel accents and casement windows which distinguish Henry Hall from the glass façades that are now prevalent in the area.
The building is in an area previously known as Manhattan's Far West Side but it has become an accessible destination with the development of Hudson Yards and the recent extension of the 7 train. Read more about the neighborhood here, and be sure to check Henry Hall's building profile for more news and updates.
