In the fall of 2014, a 47-story rental tower in Fort Lee made its debut; overlooking the George Washington Bridge, the Hudson River, the Manhattan skyline and beyond. But that's only one half of the story. Developers SJP Properties set out to construct a skyscraping dual-tower development in the community of roughly 40,000 perched atop the Palisades, and the vision is nearly complete. The second tower has officially topped out, and the twins are now permanently part of the cliffside.
SJP is developing the site with Prudential Real Estate Investors and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, and the project is known as The Modern. Located on a site that sat vacant since the 1970s, now known as 100 and 800 Park Avenue, each tower has 450 rental units and the first debuted to much success, in part because of incredible views and resort-style amenities. Like the first, the new building will have studio to three-bedroom layouts spread throughout the tower and leasing is expected to launch in 2018.

Large, open kitchens boast European cabinetry, quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash, and GE Café Series stainless steel appliances. Each unit is also equipped with a Bosch washer/dryer.
There is no shortage of amenities. The package ranges from lounges and game rooms, to outdoor swimming and volleyball pits. Between the two buildings, a two-acre park is in development, also from SJP, which will be lush with landscaping and paths, along with restaurants, a public theater and a museum.
