Overview of 333 East 53rd Street

333 East 53rd Street is a 13-story, 162-unit red brick cooperative completed in 1930. This well-run building is staffed by a 24/7 doorman/concierge, on-site manager, and live-in superintendent. Amenities include a central laundry room, gym, bike shed, additional storage for rent, and roof deck with spectacular 360-degree views. Carter’s Review

"Close to the popular and attractive Sutton Place and Beekman Place districts, this 13-story, red-brick building was converted to a cooperative in 1983. Located midblock on a sidestreet between Second and First Avenues, this 162-unit structure has recessed wings that allow it have corner bay windows in many apartments. The attractive building's top is setback creating some terraces. Amenities include a new central laundry room, bike and storage rooms, fitness center, and planted roof deck with unbelievable city views.

Close to midtown, this area abounds in restaurants and has excellent neighborhood shopping. Although the avenues have a lot of traffic, the sidestreets are relatively quiet and the area is well served by public transportation."

Broker & Buyer Comments

This "immaculately maintained" residential gem offers "attentive" 24/7 doorman service and a "magnificent" planted roof deck with stellar city views. The building's "efficient staff" and live-in super keep everything running smoothly, while a well-equipped gym and storage facilities add modern convenience. Perfectly positioned just blocks from Fifth Avenue's high-end shopping district and multiple subway lines, this address puts residents in the heart of Manhattan's fashion scene.

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
