Carter Horsley
Review of 345 East 52nd Street by Carter Horsley

This very attractive, red-brick, 14-story apartment building at 345 East 52nd Street was built in 1959.

It was designed by Leo Stillman, who was well-known for his design of Walden Terrace, almost two full blocks of eight-story apartment buildings with exposed concrete that gave them a "precocious Continental look."

This building has 100 cooperative apartments, a doorman, a roof deck, discrete air-conditioners, some bay windows and a garage.

It has a large entrance marquee, a four-step-up entrance and sidewalk landscaping.
