Carter's Review
This pleasant, red-brick apartment house was erected in 1916 and converted to a cooperative in 1954.
The 14-story building, which has an attractive, canopied entrance on the avenue, has 70 apartments.
It was designed by Schwartz & Gross, whose other buildings on the avenue include 525, 885, 888, 910, 911, 930, 941, 970, 983, 1095, 1125 and 1165.
This pre-war building, which has fire escapes on its sidestreet façade, has a prime location on the same block as the very luxurious and tall Four Seasons Hotel and it is extremely convenient to public transportation and the midtown office district although there is considerable traffic.
The building has a doorman, two private gardens, washers & dryers and basement storage but no garage and no roofdeck.
It is convenient to public transportation, fine shopping and the Midtown Business District and there is a Whole Foods grocery store about five blocks away.
