Carter's Review

This 6-story, red-brick building at 349 East 49th Street is known as Beekman Court and has 106 cooperative apartments.

Its façade on 49th Street is broken into three parts with landscaped lightwells and the outer two have pediment roofs. The through-block building is also known as 322-348 West 50th Street and 877 First Avenue.

It is convenient to Beekman Place and the United Nations and there is good cross-town bus service.

The building has a doorman, a canopied, one-step-up entrance, fire escapes and is pet friendly.

The building was erected in 1940 and Harry and Max Rosenfeld were the developers and J. M. Felson was the architect.

It has a canopied, one-step-up entrance, a doorman basement storage and quoins. It permits pets and many of its windows on the first floor have large stone surrounds. The building also has fire-escapes.

It has good public transportation and is close to the United Nations and Beekman Place.
