This pleasant, 7-story, mid-block apartment building at 315 West 55th Street disguises itself pretty well on this pleasant, tree-lined street in Clinton.
The building was erected in 1945 and is a co-operative with 42 apartments.
Bottom Line
This pleasant, mid-block building on a tree-lined block is widely considered to be one of the most attractive residential streets in Clinton and it is convenient to Columbus Circle, Central Park and public transportation.
Description
The red-brick building has a two-story, stone rusticated base with a sunken canopied entrance beneath some white-stone, inset balconies at the western side of the building. The entrance is two-stories high and the first two floors have two story piers beneath fire escapes.
Amenities
It has a canopied, step-down entrance, some balconies and discrete air-conditioners. It has no sidewalk landscaping, no roof-deck, no fitness center, and no garage.
