Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley

Carter's Review

This attractive, 11-story, brown-brick apartment building was erected in 1965 and has 383 rental apartments.

The building is close to Central Park and the new twin-towered, mixed use building on Columbus Circle that includes the headquarters of AOL-Time Warner.

There is excellent cross-town bus service on 57th Street and subways on Eighth Avenue at 57th Street. There is good shopping in this area, which is a few blocks south of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

This mid-block building has a doorman and a concierge, consistent fenestration, a roof deck, a canopied entrance, discrete air-conditioners, spiked sidewalk landscaping, consistent fenestration, an attractive lobby, no sidewalk landscaping, no health club, and no balconies. There is considerable traffic in this lively area.
