Carter's Review
The attractive, 9-story residential condominium building at 464 West 44th Street is known as Chatham 44.
It has 58 apartments.
It has been designed by the Stephen B. Jacobs Group, which was the architect of the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District and the condominium tower at 325 Fifth Avenue.
The developer is Chatham 44 Associates LLC of which Harvey Gessin is president and Mark Kalimian is vice president.
The building has studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units and duplex penthouses.
Most of the apartments have private outdoor space.
The building has a 24-hour concierge, refrigerated storage, a fitness center, a bicycle room, rooftop cabanas and 28 private storage units.
Apartments have Miele and Sub-Zero kitchen appliances and bathrooms have Kohler sinks with "stillness" faucets, Toto toilets and "Tea-for-Two" soaking tubs. Some units have glass-enclosed shower stalls.
The building is on the southeast corner at Tenth Avenue.
The building has a setback at the 8th floor but portions of the façade extend upwards one more story giving the building a more sculptural look.
There are many balconies.
