Manage buildingThe iconic Hudson Hotel in New York, located at 353-366 West 58th Street near Columbus Circle, is being redeveloped into a 438-unit residential rental building with office and commercial spaces. Originally constructed in 1929 as a clubhouse and residence for the American Women's Association, the 24-story, 385,124-square-foot building sits on a 0.68-acre parcel of land.
The building was converted into the Henry Hudson Hotel in 1941, later becoming the Hudson New York Hotel after a renovation by the Morgan Hotel Group in 1997. The new development will feature units with 8' to 10' high ceilings, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and in-unit washer/dryers, along with 30,000 square feet of retail space and 25,000 square feet of office space.
In October 2025, lender Parkview Financial put the former Hudson Hotel on Manhattan's West Side under bankruptcy protection. Developer CSC Real Estate has spent years trying to convert the hotel into a mixed-use building with residential units, but ran into difficulties with the lender. CSC Real Estate is no longer involved with the project.
