Carter's Review

This 12-story, mixed-use development at 515 Ninth Avenue between 38th and 39th Streets is a project of Assa Properties and The Chetrit Group. 

The building, which is known as LANA, has 108 rental apartments. 

Hill West is the architectural firm for the project, which occupies the former site of the Supreme Marconi Company.

Bottom Line

A sprightly mid-rise rental apartment development near the bus terminal and not far from the Theater District.

Description

The building has a dramatic upswept entrance market and several setbacks and some corner windows.

Amenities

The building has a concierge and a doorman, a gym, a roof deck and storage. Residents also have a la carte room service, dry cleaning and laundry services, housekeeping and turn down services as well as child and pet care services and daily flower deliveries, shoeshine services and valet services.

Apartments

Apartments has rift cut white oak floors, Bosch washers and dryers, White-washed oak cabinetry, Calacatta backspashes, Caesarstone countertops, Bertazzoni ranges and stainless steel  refrigerators and dishwashers.

Apartment F on floors 9 through 12 is a three-bedroom unit with a 20-foot-long entrance gallery that leads past an open kitchen to a 22-foot-long living room with a north 14-foot-long terrace and a south 38-foot-long terrace.

Apartment G on floors 9 through 12 is a two-bedroom unit with an entry to an pass-through kitchen and a 17-foot-long living/dining room with a 9-foot-long terrace.

Apartment B on floors 5 through 12 is a one-bedroom unit with a 17-foot-long living/dining room and an open kitchen.
