Carter's Review
This attractive, 20-story, beige-brick apartment tower at 315 West 57th Street has 360 rental apartments.
The building, which is known as Park Towers South, is close to Central Park and the twin-towered, mixed use building on Columbus Circle known as the Time Warner Center.
There is excellent cross-town bus service on 57th Street and subways on Eighth Avenue at 57th Street. There is good shopping in this area, which is a few blocks south of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
This mid-block building has a doorman and a concierge, consistent fenestration, a roof deck, a canopied entrance, protruding air-conditioners, an attractive lobby, a fitness center, a garage, and a roof deck but no sidewalk landscaping and no balconies.
The building has a few setbacks on its top floors and the east end of the 57th Street façade extends forward slightly.
There is considerable traffic in this lively area.
