Located across from The Peninsula Hotel on West 55th Street off Fifth Avenue, the building current consists of 34,000 sq. ft. above grade plus an additional 5,000 sq. ft. cellar. Previously configured as rental buildings, most of the building has been vacated and gutted with the exception of four rent stabilized tenants.
Preliminary proposed plans consisting of multiple residential units (14 two bedrooms and 3 thee bedrooms or 18 one-bedrooms and 3 three bedrooms) plus ground floor retail space have been explored by the owners. Plans are available upon request. The facade is not protected and can be transformed into full limestone, a rendering and details of which are also available upon request.
