This attractive, 9-story, mid-block, pre-war, rental apartment building at 347 West 55th Street was originally a hotel known as the Cambria. 

It has 96 apartments. 

It is on one of Clinton’s most attractive blocks and is convenient to Columbus Circle, Central Park and the Theater District. 

This neighborhood has good public transportation.

The Cambria at 347 West 55th Street is an elegant, pre-war building on one of Clinton’s best blocks.  It is convenient to Columbus Circle, Central Park and the Theater District.

Description

The light-brown-brick building has a recessed entrance and a two-story rusticated base over a half-story stone level.  

The building has three bandcourses and attractive light sconces flank the recessed entrance.  

The building’s rooflines are staggered and have diagonal masonry and the top floor has arched decorative pediments. 

The building’s windows are inset.

 The building has a live-in superintendent.
