Carter’s Review

"This large, red brick apartment building offers the charm of Murray Hill and the convenience of excellent public transportation. With its charming sidestreets with their attractive townhouses, clubs, and churches, Murray Hill is a surprisingly quiet neighborhood in the center of midtown, just a few minutes walk away from Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, two of the city's most important Beaux Arts structures, and the Empire State Building. Built in 1967, it has an impressive entrance and lobby and was converted to a cooperative in 1983. The 18-story building has 187 units, many with balconies, some of which are shared."

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
