Carter's Review

This attractive, 20-story apartment building at 591 Third Avenue on the northwest corner of 39th Street is part of the Frontier complex that also includes the 19-story, mid-block apartment building at 200 East 39th Street, which has 91 apartments which 20 are "affordable."

It was erected in 2017 and the mid-block building was built in 2015.

The developer of both buildings are CBSK Ironstate, which consists of Charles Blaichman, SK Developers and Ironstate.

Both buildings were designed by Rawlings Architects and have ground-floor retail spaces and a second-floor amenity space.

This building is known as the Lindley and has 74 condominium apartments of which 11 are "affordable."

The mid-block building has a long entrance marquee.

The complex replaced a three-story townhouse owned by the Kingdom of Lesotho, which now has a three-story commercial unit in the complex as its mission.

Bottom Line

An attractive, gray two-building complex in Murray Hill in 2015 and 2017 that is not far from Grand Central Terminal and the United Nations.
