This 12-story building at 237 Lafayette Street between Prince and Spring Streets in NoLiTa between was erected in 1911 and converted to a 20-unit co-operative apartment building in 1975.
Bottom Line
This tall loft building has a prime NoLiTa location very close to SoHo and many restaurants and boutiques and two subway stations.
Description
The beige-brick building has a three-story black-metal base and fire-escapes and is a few doors south of a fire station and half a block north of Petrosino Park.
The building has arched windows on the top floor and a bandcourse above the 10th floor.
It permits protruding air-conditioners.

It is pet-friendly but has no roof deck, no garage, no doorman and permits window air-conditioners.

History
The building is famous as the name of a bright and attractive artwork of 12-inch enameled squares by Jennifer Bartlett (1970-2011) who lived in the building.
