Overview of The Mark at 25 East 77th Street

After closing for a two year inside-and-out renovation, the Mark at 25 East 77th Street reopened in 2008. It contains 118 hotel rooms and 42 apartments.

The Mark’s new kitchens feature modern appliances, while baths offer Kohler sinks and premium finishes. Downstairs, the famous bar off the lobby has been reborn as the Bar Mark, along with a new eatery created by the very popular nearby restaurant Sant Ambroeus, which features a Winter Garden, a private dining room and 24-hour room service. Frédéric Fekkai’s new Salon Mark is also there and offers in-suite massages, hairstyling and nail treatments.

With the help of the Mandarin Hotel Group and the French designer Jacques Grange, the Mark offers residents amenities that include custom designed rooms and furnishings, fitness and business centers, multilingual secretarial service, personal shopping and delivery service, dog walking and pet care and daily housekeeping and turndown service. Residents can also use Crestron panels in each unit to control everything from music and video to lights, shades and air conditioning, along with fingertip access to room and concierge service.

Carter’s Review

"The top floors of the handsome, 16-story, former Mark Hotel at 25 East 77th Street on the northwest corner at Madison Avenue were converted to residential condominiums in 2008 by the Alexico Group, of which Izak Senhabar and Simon Elias are principals.

The lower floors remain a hotel and the building is known as The Mark. "
