Carter's Review

Description

The Fieldston-Riverdale Apartments at 3875 Waldo Avenue is comprised of two interconnected buildings rising to 11 stories on a bluff in Riverdale. Finished in the Tudor-Revival Style, the the complex built in 1931 and features a half-timbered façade, stone and rough-brick bases, and gargoyles overlooking its leafy surroundings. The cooperative apartments range from studios to six-room apartment homes, most with at least two exposures.

Large foyers and sunken living rooms, high ceilings, and hardwood floors characterize the residences. Amenities include the Joe Ennis Community Room, a laundry room with washing and drying machines operated by keycards, a large bicycle room, and storage lockers.
