This very attractive, 12-story building at 305 Riverside Drive on the southeast corner at 103rd Street is known as the Clearfield.

It was erected in 1910 and designed by Lawlor & Haase.

It has 60 rental apartments.


 

Bottom Line

This very handsome pre-war has a delicate fence with finials, a limestone base and top and fireplaces.


 

Description

The building has bandcourses above the 3rd and 4th floors and a four-step-up entrance.

The second and third floors have arched windows.

It has window surrounds on the 4th and 5th floors and the 10th and 11th floors and a limestone band above the 5th floor.

The building has a 4-story limestone base that is rusticated on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

The top floor is limestone.

The building has some protruding air-conditioners and a very delicate and tall fence with nice finials.

The building has a four-step-up, canopied entrance.
