Carter's Review

This attractive, mid-block building at 310 West 106th Street between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive was built in 1927 and has 78 cooperative apartments.

The 16-story building was converted in 1979.

Bottom Line

On a quiet street close to Riverside Park, this handsome, pre-war, mid-block building has an elevator operator and a roof deck.

Description

The building has an attractive, two-story, one-step-up entrance surround with light sconces but not canopy and no sidewalk landscaping.

The first floor has nice window surrounds and stone quoins and the upper masonry façade has beige bricks and quoins.

There are some visible masonry façade patches and there is a bandcourse above the 13th floor.

The building has a cornice and a roof deck and some protruding air-conditioners.
