Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley

56 CITYREALTY RATING

Carter's Review

This handsome, Italian Renaissance-palazzo-style apartment building was erected in 1924 and converted to a cooperative in 1989. The 16-story building has 119 apartments.

A mid-block building, it has a two-story, limestone base with a canopied entrance and a doorman. It has attractive window reveals on the top two floors and permits protruding air-conditioners.

It is very close to Riverside Park and an express subway station is nearby at Broadway. This neighborhood has good shopping and is not far from the bustling Lincoln Center district to the south.

The area should continue to improve because of mammoth residential development at Riverside South, a Donald Trump project, nearby along Riverside Drive, and the huge mixed-use redevelopment of the New York Coliseum site at Columbus Circle to the south.
