The Ashley at 400 West 63rd Street is an attractive, 23-story rental apartment building that was erected by Extell Development in 2010.
It is also known as 60 Riverside Boulevard, 405 Freedom Place South, 425 Freedom Place South and 445 Freedom Place South.
It has 209 apartments and was designed by Costas Kondylis & Partners.
Matthew Nielson was the landscape architect and Roman and Williams designed the lobby and lounge.
Bottom Line
This residential tower boasts fine Hudson River vistas and one of the city’s largest amenity packages that includes a 38-foot-tall rock-climbing wall, a two bowling lanes, and a full-size basketball court.
Description
One of the shorter towers along Riverside Boulevard, this building is distinguished by its very handsome, one-story, alternately projecting base of polished gray granite and two stainless steel entrance marquees over its revolving door entrance.
It has a large, landscaped roof terrace with pergola and many corner windows.
