Carter's Review

This very handsome, 6-story building at 314 West 94th Street between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive was erected in 1920 and was converted in 1985 to 32 condominium apartments. 

The building, which is known as The Vancouver, is a block away from an express subway station and there is excellent bus transportation.

Bottom Line

A very attractive, mid-rise, mid-block pre-war condominium with a portico, quoins, and rusticated piers and a fire-escape convenient to numerous restaurants and good public transportation.

Description

The red-brick building has a two-story, rusticated base with a canopied, three-step-up entrance with a nice colonnaded portico surround. 

The building also has quoins at ends sides and rusticated piers in its center where there is also a fire-escape. 

The building has a nice cornice.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck, a video intercom, a live-in superintendent, a part-time doorman, an elevator and a washer/dryer.

Apartment 7A is a three-bedroom unit with 1,810 square feet with 10-foot ceilings.  The 26-foot-long living room has a decorative fireplace and
French doors lead to a windowed kitchen with a vented DeLonghi 5-burner stove and a Jenn-Air refrigerator.  

Apartment 3B is a three-bedroom unit with a 14-foot-wide entry foyer that leads to a 20-foot-long living room with a 9-foot-long open kitchen with a breakfast bar. 

Apartment 1F is a two-bedroom duplex with a 17-foot-long living/dining room with an 10-foot-long open kitchen with a breakfast bar and a spiral staircase that leads to a lower level with a 19-foot-wide garden and a bedroom. 

Apartment 3A is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer by an open kitchen with an island that leads to a 29-foot-long living room and windowed home office.
