This 30-story apartment tower at 1524 Sheepshead Bay Road in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, has 180 rental apartments on its lowest 11 floors and 56 condominium apartments on its highest 19 floors.
The building, which also has a 1501 Voorhees Avenue address, was developed by Avalon Bay Communities and Muss Development and completed in 2017. The condo section of the building is known as 1 Brooklyn Bay and the rental section as Avalon Brooklyn Bay.
Perkins Eastman is the Architect.
There is a pedestrian bridge to nearby Manhattan Beach and the B and Q subway lines are also nearby.
A ny.curbed.com article May 18, 2017 reported that “previously a 22-story condo building by a different developer had been proposed for the site, but was abandoned after a backlash from local residents.

This sparkling tower is the tallest in Sheepshead Bay.
Description
The reflective-glass tower has a very dramatic base with a large section of the second floor recessed over the entrance, which has a revolving door and a large curved marquee.

The smoke-free development will have an outdoor swimming pool, a bocce court, a dog run and barbecue pits, a 2,500-square-foot fitness center, a garage, a 19th floor Sky Lounge and a fully attended lobby.
