Carter's Review

This very handsome, mid-block building at 543 Broadway between Prince and Spring streets has a prime location at the center of the SoHo Cast-Iron Historic District.

It was erected in 1903 and designed by John W. Stevens.

It has 9 condominium apartments.

Although it is missing its cornice, its white marble façade and very large arched window enclosure at the third floor make it one of the more attractive edifices along this important stretch of Broadway with excellent shopping, good public transportation and many restaurants.

It is also known as 114 Mercer Street.

Bottom Line

Although missing its cornice, this handsome, 10-story, mid-block marble-faced building has a prime Broadway location between Prince and Spring streets.

There are bandcourses above the fourth and eighth floors.

The bottom two stories are rusticated.
