Carter's Review

This very sleek, 10-story, 7-unit condominium building was erected in 2010 by Aby Rosen at 350 West Broadway between Grand and Broome streets in SoHo and was designed by Moed de Armas & Shannon and SLCE.

The full-floor apartments have been designed by William T. Georgis.

The lobby features a large painting by George Condo, bronze door pulls by Michele Oka Doner and a large, ceramic sculptural installation by Peter Lane.

The building was completed in 2010.

Amenities

The building has a full-time doorman, a virtual concierge service by Luxury Attache, and a fitness center.

Apartments

The penthouse is a 6,000-square-foot duplex with a 1,330-square-foot roof deck.

Apartments have private storage on their floor, direct entry with key-lock elevator and motorized solar and blackout shades.

Kitchens have brushed stainless steel and quartersawn American black walnut cabinetry, Bethel white granite countertops, Sub-Zero refrigerators and wine coolers, Gaggenau cooktops and convection ovens, and Miele dishwashers.

Master bathrooms have radiant heat flooring and Kohler 6-foot custom baths.

The sixth-floor unit has a 22-foot-long gallery that leads to a 28-foot-long living/dining area next to a large, eat-in, windowed kitchen.  The two-bedroom unit has a 644-square foot balcony that opens onto the living room and the master bedroom.  The apartment also has a second bedroom, an 11-foot-long study and a laundry room.

The third-floor unit is a three-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long gallery that leads to a 28-foot-long living/dining room adjacent to the large, eat-in, windowed kitchen.  There is a very large terrace that opens onto the living/dining room and the master bedroom.  The apartment also has a study and a laundry room.

The 2,902-square-foot eighth-floor unit has a 10-foot-long balcony next to the master bedroom.

History

The site was originally developed with a two-story brick retail structure in the 1980s.

In 2005, Lighthouse Real Estate Ventures of Lynbrook of which Jeffrey Ravertz was a principal commissioned Rogers Marvel to design an 11-story building with 20 residential condominiums for the site.

The next year it was acquired for about $25 million by RFR of which Aby Rosen is a principal and Ian Shrager and that venture had plans for a luxury hotel for the site.

In 2007, the plans for a hotel were changed to a residential condominium.
