Carter's Review

This handsome, 6-story building at 490 Greenwich Street between Spring and Canal Streets in SoHo was erected in 1930. 

It has 6 residential condominium lofts and 6 commercial condominium lofts. 

It is not far from some subway stations.

Bottom Line

This attractive, low-rise SoHo building is not far from the Hudson River Park and has 6 large residential condominium units and 6 commercial condominium units.

Description

This attractive, red-brick building has bandcourses, some double, and an handsome pattern of alternating white stone lintels with a dark retail base. 

It also has a nice dentillated cornice.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck, a part-time doorman and an off-site superintendent.

Many of the units have timber beams, exposed brick walls with archway openings and their original steel doors. 

Apartment 602 is a three-bedroom, duplex unit with a 38-foot-wide living room, a 25-foot-wide media lounge, a 13-foot-wide enclosed kitchen with an island and an upper level with a 28-foot-wide solarium surrounded on three sides from 82-foot-wide terrace. 

Apartment 201 is a four-bedroom unit with a 54-foot-wide great room with an open kitchen with an island, 15-foot-wide den, a 12-foot-wide utility room and one of the bedrooms has a terrace. 

Apartment 401 is a three-bedroom unit with a 9-foot-wide entry foyer that opens onto a 40-foot-wide living room and a 17-foot-wide dining room.  The unit has a 15-foot-wide open kitchen that leads to a 15-foot-wide breakfast room and a 12-foot-wide gym.  The united also has a 20-foot-wide media room and the master bedroom has small balcony. 

Apartment 402 is a three-bedroom unit with a 40-foot-long living/dining room with a 17-foot-wide open kitchen with a breakfast bar, a 25-foot-wide media room and an 11-foot-wide office.
