Carter's Review

This handsome, cast-iron-looking building at 92 Greene Street in SoHo was built in 2005 and designed with pressed enamel steel by Joseph Pell Lombardi, one of the city’s leading renovators of 19th Century properties.

The 7-story building goes through the block and has a smaller frontage at 109 Mercer Street. Both streets, between Prince and Spring Streets, have cobblestones.

It has 14 apartments.

The project’s sponsor was 92-94 Greene Street Developers LLC, of which Amir Chaluts, is a member, and Team Soho LLC., of which Daniel Perla is a member.

Andres Escobar was the interior designer.

Bottom Line

With a prime, central location in SoHo, this very attractive building has the advantage of being new in old clothing and has a very spectacular 5th floor apartment designed by David M. Sullivan.

Description

The building is setback at the sixth floor.

Amenities

The building has a doorman, storage and an elevator.

Apartments

Apartment 5A is one of the city’s most glamourous apartments.  Designed by David M. Sullivan, the three-bedroom unit has 14-foot-high ceilings, with spectacular finishes included a very large polished wood backboard, a huge bronze sculpted door, a sculpted media wall, a sculpted wood kitchen wall and a free-standing stone wall separating the master bedroom from a copper tub.

The second floor at 109 Mercer Street has a 25-foot-wide great room with a wood-burning fireplace and a 12-foot-wide open kitchen with a pass-through and two bedrooms on the lower level and a 22-foot-wide master bedroom on the upper level.
