Carter's Review

This 9-story residential condominium building at 11 North Moore Street on the corner at Varick Street in TriBeCa was built in 2014 and has 18 apartments.

It was developed by VE Equities, of which Zack Vella is a principal.

Adjmi & Andreoli were the architects. Sawyer/Berson was the landscape architect.

Bottom Line

A handsome, modern building with a limestone and steel façade, high ceilings, few apartments and a TriBeCa address.

Description

The building has a limestone façade and a two-story base. Windows are recessed 18 inches from the façade.

The lobby has polished cement floors, 12-foot-6-inch-high ceilings, a granite plinth with integrated seating and a 26-foot-square library overlooking a courtyard garden with charred and lacquered brushed oak walls.

Amenities

The building has a doorman, a gym, a bicycle room, storage and a garden.

Apartments

Apartments have 11-foot-high ceilings, very large windows set in a dark grey, powder-coated aluminum frame, 6-inchplank white-oak Siberian wood flooring, GE washers and vented gas dryers, motorized window shade control.

Kitchens have Italian Dada gray ok and white matte lacquer cabinetry, Carrara Marble countertops and backsplashes, center island with 2-inch mitered Cararra marble waterfall countertops, Bosch stainless-steel, 5-burner cooktops, electric ovens and dishwashers, and Sub-Zero 36-inch refrigerators with gray oak front panels.

Bathrooms have 24-inch-square Basaltina stone tile flooring, 24-by-12-inchstatuary marble wall times, Laufen-designed Wenge Wood double vanities, and Robern recessed frameless medicine cabinets.

One of four duplex penthouses has 7,061 square feet, 18-foot-high ceilings and a 3,168-square-foot roof terrace with a private pool and a Marvel 90-bottle under-counter wine refrigerator.  The unit has a 47-foot-long great room with fireplace and a 59-foot-long terrace. It was initially offered in January 2014 for $40 million.

A 4,900-square-foot apartment has six bedrooms.
