Carter's Review

This very handsome, 7-story, red-brick building at 90 Hudson Street was erected in 1916 and converted to 36 cooperative apartments in 1982. 

TKR Realty Corp., Tri-River Associates and Philip Perlman were the developers and Wechsler Grasso Menziuso was the architectural firm for the conversion. 

The building, which is on the southeast corner at Leonard Street, has a prime location in TriBeCa.

Bottom Line

This impressive, red-brick building has a central location in TriBeCa, a roof deck and a key-locked elevator.

Description

The building, which has thin white banding, has three bandcourses, a canopied entrance and fire escapes in the center of its two façades. 

The building has arched windows on its top floor and a thin cornice of alternating heights. 

It permits protruding air-conditioners.

The building has a doorman, a full-time superintendent, a roof deck, a key-locked elevator and basement storage space.

Apartment 4A is a two-bedroom unit that has a small, angled foyer that leads to a 12-foot-wide gallery that opens onto an angled, 23-foot-long living room next to an enclosed 15-foot-long, eat-in kitchen. 

Apartment 4D is a one-bedroom unit that has an entrance foyer that leads past an 8-foot-long enclosed kitchen to a 17-foot-long living room and a 20-foot-long den. 

Apartment 2D is a one-bedroom unit that has a foyer that opens into an 11-foot-long kitchen off of a 20-foot-long angled living room with a large terrace.
