Carter's Review

This 5-story residential condominium building at 100 North 3rd Street in the Northside section of Williamsburg in Brooklyn has a very bold but simple façade design.

Almost one-half of the façade is a very deep, dark blue and the remainder is a light-cream color. The portion that is blue extends only from the second through the fourth floor and on the fourth floor it partially extends across most of the light-cream portion of the façade in "off-the-shoulder" fashion.

The building is also notable for its unusual fenestration pattern. The horizontal multi-paned windows come in two sizes on the second and third floors, both of which have one of each. The fourth floor has the larger window size and the ground floor has a larger, three-pane window size.

The developer and architect for the project is Elizabeth Barlow Hitz.

The building has 24 apartments, some with 15-foot-high ceilings and mezzanines.

The building has a roofdeck, a garage, private storage, a color video intercom system, and white stained maple floors.

Kitchens have Liebherr refrigerators and Miele appliances, stainless steel kitchen countertops and some apartments have Corian kitchen islands.

Bathrooms have Philippe Stark and Duravit baths and toilets.

Each loft apartment has a balcony or a roof cabana.
