Carter's Review
This 6-story residential condominium at 265 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg has a very distinctive and elegant “pin-stripe” façade with square, single-pane windows and broad inset balcony openings that give the building something of a high-tech appearance.
The building has only 5 units and was erected in 2016.
It was designed by EBHConcept of which Elizabeth Barbara Hitz is a principal designer who works in collaboration with Seema Singh.
Bottom Line
A “pin-stripe” battleship in Williamsburg with only five commanders.
Description
The light-colored, boxy building has two recessed dark top floors that give it a jaunty and jazzy appearance.
The building has square, single-pane windows and broad inset balcony openings. Its light-colored base is vertically incised quite closely to give it an “pin-stripe appearance, while broad balcony openings give it a high-tech “bunker” air.
