Carter's Review

This very handsome, 7-story condominium building at 868 Lorimer Street overlooking McCarren Park in Greenpoint was built in 2017 by the Chatham Development Company,.

It has 14 apartments and was designed by the Stephen B. Jacobs Group and Ole Sandresen Architect.

Bottom Line

This very attractive, mid-block building overlooking McCarren Park in Greenpoint has a very strong sculptural presence and attractive apartment layouts.

Description

The building has a strong sculpture presence with protruding window frames, its broad balconies and multi-pane windows.

It is setback above the fifth floor.

Amenities

The building has a full-time resident manager who also serves as a part-time doorman, a fitness center, keyed elevators, a bicycle room, a media room, basement storage, a courtyard and a children’s playroom.
