Carter's Review
This 6-story dark gray brick residential condominium building fronts entirely on the East River State Park in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and therefore many of its apartments have fabulous views of the Manhattan skyline.
The building was erected in 2006 by Toll Brothers, which built the nearby, very large and impressive Northside Piers project one block to the south and on the other side of Kent Avenue. This project was designed by Greenberg Farrow. Northside Piers was designed by FXFowe.
This building, which is located at 49 North 8th Street, has 40 apartments, a doorman, a concierge, a fitness center, a garage, a courtyard and a roof deck.
The building is the most sedate of the several impressive buildings in this stretch of Kent Avenue, which is one of the most attractive residential enclaves in the city. Northside Piers and the Edge are two-towered luxury projects on the waterfront that have very handsome mid-rise residential buildings inland and the massive and elegant 184 Kent Avenue was designed by Cass Gilbert.
