Carter's Review
This handsome, 6-story residential building at 139 North 10th Street in Williamsburg was erected in 1910 as a warehouse and eventually converted to a toy factory and in 2014 to a rental residential building.
It has 36 residential loft apartments.
In 2009, Ramon Maislen, whose family owned the building, tried to convert the commercial building to residential but could not buy out the tenants and fund the conversion so he sold it to Fortis Property Group in 2011.
Last year, Fortis sold it to the Greystone Property Development Corporation and it finished the conversion to rental units.
The conversion was designed by HTO Architect PLLC and Durukan Design handled the interiors.
Bottom Line
An attractive conversion and expansion of a red-brick commercial building into rental apartments in Williamsburg.
