The very handsome, 7-story condominium apartment building at 138 Broadway was erected in 1882 as the cast-iron Smith and Gray Department Store Building and was converted to condominiums by the Kay Organization of Elmont, N.Y., in 2002.
It has 41 loft apartments.
Robert Scarano was the architect for the conversion.

This cast-iron building offers high ceilings and nice layouts.

This building was an early conversion project in Williamsburg and it has high ceilings.
The 5th floor has arched windows and the 6th floor has inconsistent fenestration. The building has fire escapes are one side.
