Carter's Review

The 11-story, red-brick building known as The Williamsburg just to the north of the
Brooklyn approach to the Williamsburg Bridge at 373 Wythe Avenue at the corner of South 5th Street was completed in 2013.

It was designed by Karl Fischer for Wythe Associates and has 88 rental apartments.

Construction on the building began in 2009.

It is kitty corner to the large, riverfront Domino Sugar Factory site that is being redeveloped by Two Trees.

Bottom Line

Close to the East River and the Williamsburg Bridge, this mid-rise rental apartment building has very handsome entrance gates, landscaping and a large entrance marquee.

Description

The building has a very handsome gated entrance with landscaping, colored paving stones and a large entrance marquee.

The building has a Silver LEED certification.

It has a red and gray brick façade.  The center three bays have gray brick piers and gray brick spandrels extend to the building’s corner every two floors.  It has extensive landscaped and numerous lighting fixtures on the garden façades.

The building has a large, wood and mirror paneled lobby with a glass vestibule.

The building has discrete air-conditioners.

Amenities

The building has a part-time doorman, two landscaped courtyards, a fitness center, a bicycle room, on-site parking, a package room, private storage and a laundry room.  It permits pets.

Apartments

Ground floor apartments have terraces.

Each unit has bamboo flooring, double-glazed windows, Kenmore stainless-steel kitchen appliances, white Corian kitchen countertops, and Toto toilets.

Two bedroom units have an entry foyer next to the open, pass-through kitchen and the living/dining room.

One-bedroom units A have an entry next to the open kitchen with a pass-through to the living/dining room and large terrace.

One bedroom units B have an entry next to the open kitchen with a pass-through to the living/dining room.

Studio units have an entry foyer next to the living room with open kitchens.
