Carter's Review

A row of 6 strikingly handsome and elegant, 5-story townhouses was erected by KUB Capital in 2015 and is known as Wythe Lane Townhouses in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

KUB Design & SZ Projects, which is headed by Silvia Zofio, were the design team and Future Green was the landscape architect.

Bottom Line

An original, wonderful and very refined, grey-green artisanal brick complex of six, 5-story townhouses joined by a trellised mews in Williamsburg.

Description

The primary entrances are away from the street on the mews.  The houses face rearwards onto their own private garden.

Each water-struck, coal-fired brick is made by Danish artisanal manufacturer Petersen Tegl.

The townhouses have energy-efficient insulation and ventilation.

Amenities

Each house has a below-grade media room, a garage, a garden and roof deck.

Apartments

Each townhouse contains 3,800-square feet and has exposed concrete ceilings, “a reference to the industrial history of this part of Williamsburg.

The townhouses are open plan with 10- to 11-foot ceilings.

They have four bedrooms each, 3 baths and two powder rooms with 417 square feet of ground exterior area and 673 square feet of roof exterior area.  The ground-floor media room is 30-feet long, the first floor has a 25-foot-long rear yard, a 21-foot-long open kitchen with an island and a 16-foot-long dining room, the second floor has a 43-foot-long living room with a fireplace, the third and fourth floors have two bedrooms each and the first floor has a 43-foot-long garden and roof terrace.
