Carter's Review
This attractive, 18-story building was erected in 1962 and is a cooperative with 126 apartments.
In 2008, the building's white-brick façade was replaced with red brick.
The building has a central Upper East Side location that is convenient for shopping and restaurants and is close to several private schools and important cultural institutions.
It has a one-story, polished dark gray-granite base, a concierge, a garage, discrete air-conditioners, some terraces, consistent fenestration, and there are nice fluted limestone panels between some of its windows. It has no sidewalk landscaping, no garage and no health club.
There is good cross-town bus service on 86th Street and a subway station at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue. There is a fire engine company a block away on 85th Street.
