Overview of 325 East 79th Street

325 East 79th Street was built in 1929 and designed by New York architects Gronenberg & Leuchtag. It is an impeccable, full-service cooperative with a 24-hour elevator operator, live-in superintendent, fitness center, garden patio, laundry room, two bike rooms, and on-site storage. It is in a prime Upper East Side location near the East River Promenade, great restaurants and shopping, gourment supermarkets, cultural institutions, parks, and the Q line and M79 cross-town bus. Pets, pied-a-terres, and co-purchasing are permitted.

Carter’s Review

"This handsome, 17-story, mid-block apartment building was erected in 1928 and converted to a cooperative in 1980. It has 81 apartments.

It is adjacent to an attractive French restaurant, Quatorze and this neighborhood has several other nice restaurants and good neighborhood shopping. There is good cross-town bus service on 79h Street, but the closest subway station is at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street."

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
