Overview of The Mansion House at 525 East 82nd Street

The Mansion House is a 13-story, 79-unit building erected by Philip Birnbaum in 1962 and converted to cooperatives in 1984. Select units have private balconies/terraces, and all apartments enjoy incredible natural light.

The immaculately kept building is staffed by a part-time doorman, a live-in superintendent, and porters. Amenities include a central laundry room, attached garage, bike room, and private storage. Its address at 525 East 82nd Street, at the corner of East End Avenue, puts it close to the outdoor offerings of Carl Schurz Park, the East River Promenade, Gracie Mansion, popular restaurants, top schools, and multiple transportation options including the subway, the New York Ferry, and FDR Drive.

Carter’s Review

"This attractive, white-brick, 13-story building was erected in 1960 and is a cooperative with 79 apartments.

It is close to Carl Schurz Park and the East River, several private schools and a south-bound entrance to the FDR Drive at 79th Street. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street, but the building is not close to the subways."
