Carter's Review
This attractive, white-brick, 21-story tower has 693 rental apartments.
The huge building occupies the entire block along Second Avenue to 87th Street. It has a very large and very nicely landscaped driveway, a garage and a very large marquee that is curved upwards and whose underside is covered in blue mosaics.
The building has a doorman, many balconies and a revolving front door. It has a large supermarket in its retail spaces and is across 86th Street from a very good coffee shop. There is excellent cross-town bus service and shopping on 86th Street as well as an express subway station at Lexington Avenue.
There are many restaurants in the area, which is close to the Carnegie Hill neighborhood that has many private schools and important cultural institutions. There is considerable traffic at this location.
