Carter's Review

This pale orange-brick, 5-story building at 689 Myrtle Avenue between Bedford Avenue and Spencer Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn was built in 1947 as the Cocoline Chocolate Factory.

The building was converted to 45 condominium apartments in 2006.

The G subway is two blocks away and the Barclays Center is nearby.

A pale-orange-brick building near the Barclays Center that was converted from a chocolate factory to 45 condominium apartments in 2006, many with large and interesting layouts.

Apartment 1E is a one-bedroom duplex with a 9-foot-long angled entry foyer that leads past an 11-foot-wide home office to a 11-foot-wide open kitchen with a breakfast bar and a 21-foot-long living/dining room with a 17-foot-high ceiling on the lower level and a bedroom on the upper level.

Apartment 2I is a duplex one-bedroom unit with an entry next to a windowed study and a guest room and a 12-foot-long open kitchen across from an 18-foot-wide, double-height dining area and an 11-foot-wide living room with a 9-foot-wide balcony.  There is a sleeping area upstairs.

Apartment 3A is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads past a 13-foot-long open kitchen to a 22-foot-long living/dining area and up five stairs to a 14-foot-long bedroom.

Apartment 5G is a two-bedroom unit with an angled foyer that leads to a 17-foot-long kitchen and a 22-foot-wide living/dining area.
