"This handsome, red-brick apartment building at 240 West End Avenue on the southeast corner at 71st Street was designed by Rosario Candela and built in 1924 for the 280 West 71st Street Corporation, of which Joseph F. Faiella was president.

The 16-story building was converted from a rental to a condominium in 2009 and has 64 apartments."
