Carter's Review
This attractive, 10-story, mid-block, apartment building was erected in 1927 and is a cooperative with 42 units.
This red-brick building has a good and pleasant central Upper East Side location not far from Lenox Hill Hospital. It has a one-story limestone base and an arched limestone entrance surround with a canopy and nice detailing. The building has Romanesque-style masonry, sidewalk landscaping, a concierge, some arched windows on the top floor, consistent fenestration, protruding air-conditioners and a four-step-down vestibule. It has no balconies, no health club and no garage.
There is good local shopping and good cross-town bus service on 79th Street. The nearest subway station is at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue.
